A recent survey by PulteGroup, Inc. verified this fact when they surveyed 1,000 consumers across the United
States and found that 54 percent of consumers were from the Millennials generation and 74 percent of those
consumers that were surveyed said that now is a “good” or “excellent” time to buy a home.
The Millennials strive for independence and what better way to feel independent than to buy a home to
call your own. Something you worked hard for and achieved all by yourself. And what better place to
buy a home than in Bend Oregon!
Bend is a very diverse city. This city has everything from skiing to dog sledding in the winter, and paddle
boarding to rock climbing in the summer, but that’s not all bend has to offer; Bend is growing in so
many different ways. Our OSU‐Cascades campus at COCC is becoming a four year university which will
offer students the opportunity to achieve their bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
There are many different career options in the central Oregon area. Prineville just got an Apple and
Facebook data center. Bend is not only the number one dog city and the number one beer city in
America; Bend is the next big city for entrepreneurship. “Bend is a community of Big brains, here
because they want to be”, says Jim Boeddeker, executive director of Founderspad (formerly known as
VentureBox), a local business accelerator that graduated its first class of fledgling entrepreneurs in May.

after you settle down and start a family Bend has wonderful schools and activities here for children.
Summit High School was ranked number 15 out of all the schools in Oregon. Bend also has a ton of
activities for kids as well. We have our High Desert Museum just south of town by Sunriver; there is Kah‐
Nee‐Ta waterpark in warm springs. Mt. Bachelor also offers snowboarding and skiing lessons. The parks
and rec. districts here offer a wonderful variety of activities for people of all ages.
